Met ‘corrupt cops’ probe
THE police watchdog is investigating allegations of “serious corruption and malpractice” within Scotland Yard’s own standards unit, a top official said.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct is probing senior officers in the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards.
Jonathan Green, the IOPC’s London director, said “three officers have been served with gross misconduct notices and one of those is also under criminal investigation”.
