Death probe: Two arrested

A MAN and woman have been held on suspicion of murder after a man died in a house fire.

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene in Skelmersdale, Lancs, on Saturday morning.

A man aged 36 and woman aged 43, both from the town, are in custody.

Lancashire Police said a murder inquiry had been launched, adding: “The fire is currently unexplained.”

Detectives urge anyone who could help them to come forward.
