Botox-based fix on chronic pain
A JAB for chronic pain based on botox could soon replace opioids.
The Derm-Bot treatment, developed by British scientists, destroyed pain signals from the spinal cords of mice in trials – with no side effects. It is hoped the jab could help tackle an addiction crisis from opioid medications.
Prof Steve Hunt, of University College London, said: “It could revolutionise how pain is treated.”
