Ozil will never be ruthless enough to dominate

THE fact Mesut Ozil no longer has to traipse all over Europe during international breaks should be good news for Arsenal.

The club are probably feeling like they have signed a new player and Unai Emery like he has signed his first world-class talent.

What will be interesting for the rest of us to see, though, is what sortrt of mental and physical focus Ozil shifts to his club.

Because they need him now to become the difference between finishingng top of the pile rather than fourth, fifth andnd sixth.

They don’t need him to be the flat-track bully, who epitomised the second half of Arsene Wenger’s reign, butut someone who takes games by the scrufff of the neck.

And I’m not convinced that in his personality he has the ruthlessness of a Steven Gerrard, a Roy Keane, or a Graeme Souness to do that.

Some people say Ozil (above) doesn’t have to haveave it but, at a club the size off Arsenal, your top midfielderer should always have that kind of personality.
