Raab out of driving seat

THERESA May sidelined Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab yesterday.

The PM slipped out a Commons statement hours before the summer recess, saying she was taking personal control of talks.

The move shortly before the Commons Brexit Select Committee grilled Mr Raab, right.

He shrugged off their suggestions he had been demoted by saying there had been “shifting of the Whitehall deckchairs”.
