-

OVER a third of motorists admit to bickering with their partner in the car.

It rises to half among those in the young parents’ age group of 25 to 44.

Most occur when setting off on a day out, according to a survey of 2,000 motorists by RAC Insurance.

The calmest are those from Wales in their 70s.

Simon Williams of RAC Insurance said: “A day out together in the confined environment of a car must be the perfect recipe for an argument.”
