MILAN STEP ON THE GAZ

- FROM TOM HOPKINSON

ARSENAL have been rocked by an approach from AC Milan for chief executive Ivan Gazidis.

Sky Italia reported yesterday that the 53-year-old has agreed to start work at the San Siro on September 1.

Mirror Sport understands he is still undecided and is considering his options before making a commitment either way.

Gazidis won his long-running power battle with Arsene Wenger this summer, but that has not stopped Milan.

In a statement, chairman Sir Chips Keswick said: “We are aware of the speculation. He has always been fully committed to taking Arsenal forward and is currently working hard in Singapore with our new head coach Unai Emery, as we prepare for the new season.”
