EMERY: BEST SPOT FOR OZIL

- FROM TOM HOPKINSON

UNAI EMERY says Arsenal’s pre-season training camp is the perfect environment for Mesut Ozil to escape the fallout from his international retirement.

The 92-cap star (above, yesterday) quit Germany’s national side on Sunday.

And, after a chat with his new boss, he cut short his post-World Cup holiday.

Emery said: “He is very well. He came three days before the end of his holiday.

“He is training well with his teammates. For Ozil, it’s one thing in the national team and another thing with us.

“The normality helps him to feel good and I am sure he is going to have a big season with us.”

Emery added that Ozil will not be playing against Atletico Madrid, but could feature against PSG on Saturday.
