Wolves’ howling success in signing top stars

-

SIGNING Joao Moutinho from Monaco for £5million as a midfield partner for Ruben Neves is another inspired piece of transfer business from Wolves.

Forget the fact that he’s 31, Moutinho (left) started Portugal’s first two World Cup games in Russia, has won the Euros and a French title in the past two years – and is class.

They have also picked up Portugal’s No.1 keeper Rui Patricio on a free, made Diogo Jota’s loan move from Atletico Madrid permanent and Willy Boly’s from Porto, as well as bringing in Mexico international striker Raul Jimenez on loan from Benfica. Big money will be spent by every Premier League club over the next fortnight, but Wolves could be heading for the best poundfor-pound transfer window of them all.
