Stubbly legs get a TV debut

-

A GROUND-BREAKING TV advert will for the first time show women’s visible hair being shaved off.

Until now, all adverts for women’s razors – unlike promos for their male counterparts – have featured hairless smooth skin.

But a new ad from Fiction Free Shaving is showing armpit and leg hair.

Company co-founder Briar Keen said: “Women shave stubbly not smooth legs and yet until now it’s been taboo to showcase this fact in a TV ad.

“Instead we’ve become used to seeing women pretending to shave already smooth skin.

“We wanted to call time on this old-fashioned approach and to portray women’s shaving in a more honest and modern way...and have a bit of fun at the same time.”
