WHYTE: AJ IS A PUNK
DILLIAN WHYTE called Anthony Joshua a “punk” for the way he handled a confrontation with American heavyweight Jarrell Miller.
WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion Joshua was at a press conference in New York with his next opponent Alexander Povetkin when Miller stormed the stage. The American taunted Joshua about fighting Povetkin before
saying his mum “looked good in a Sunday dress.” Joshua (right) squared up to Miller after telling him to “shut the f*** up” in a heated exchange before security pulled them apart.
But ahead of his clash with Joseph Parker tonight, Jamaican-born Whyte said: “Joshua is a punk because if he had said that about my mum, I would have just gone off there and then. Some things I just wouldn’t do and one is disrespect another person’s mum. That’s below the belt. Where I’m from in Jamaica, people get killed for that.”
