YOUR MEMORIES

This is a photo of me and my parents taken in 1937. They grew up on the same street and married in 1936.

My father went into the Coldstream Guards as a boy soldier and remained with them until his death in Belgium in 1940 at just 26.

This left my mother having to vacate our army accommodation and bring up two children all on her own.
