Be tough or be swindled, says Italy’s No2
ITALY’S deputy prime minister warned Theresa May to take a hard line in Brexit talks or face being “swindled”.
Matteo Salvini of the antiimmigrant Northern League said the Prime Minister would find “no objectivity or good faith” on the EU side.
He added: “Either impose yourself or they swindle you.”
Lib Dem Christine Jardine said the PM’s Brexit plan could be derailed by the Tories’ feuding. She added: “As long as the Tories are dominated by divisions they cannot be trusted to do the right thing.”
