Eddie’s told to button it

EDDIE JONES has had his knuckles rapped by his RFU boss after twice being forced to apologise for offensive remarks.

Coach Jones has had to say sorry for referring to Ireland as the “scummy Irish”, Wales as a “little s*** place” and Bath owner Bruce Craig as the “Donald Trump of rugby”.

RFU chief Steve Brown called the remarks “regrettable” and said Jones had been told to button it.

“I have spoken to him about those comments,” said Brown. “I don’t think they reflect his true feelings, it is not what we are about.”
