All-clear for youngest cancer patient
THE youngest UK patient diagnosed with liver cancer is finally clear of the disease.
Evan Wilson, six, was just two hours old when the cause of his swollen stomach was found.
He had chemotherapy at 12 days and at five months half his liver was removed. Evan has been told, after five years in remission, he is now free of the rare hepatoblastoma cancer.
Mum Lorraine, 45, of Lennoxtown, near Glasgow, said: “When we found out he was cleared it was amazing.”
