Mum vows: I will not give up on Corrie
THE mum of missing airman Corrie McKeague says she intends to keep up the search for him.
Nicola Urquhart posted on Facebook: “I can only keep fighting for the answers I need.”
Corrie, 23, stationed at RAF Honington, Suffolk, vanished on a night out in September 2016 in nearby Bury St Edmunds. Police believe he climbed in a refuse bin, fell asleep and was taken away by lorry.
Nicola’s vow came after Corrie’s dad, Martin, described him as “no longer missing”.
He believes his son’s remains are “irretrievable” and in the waste disposal system. A landfill site was the scene of a huge search.
The investigation was handed to a cold case squad in March.
