WILLIAN EYES NEW DEAL

- FROM TONY BANKS in Dublin

WILLIAN failed to report on time for pre-season training at Chelsea.

The Manchester United target suffered issues with his passport, sparking fears the Brazilian may be putting pressure on for a new contract.

The winger, 29, a target for Barcelona – who have had a £70million bid rejected – and United, was due to arrive at Chelsea’s Cobham training base last Friday following his postWorld Cup holiday, but was unable to because his passport had expired.

He is expected to report today, but Chelsea insist he had contacted them for permission to stay and sort out the issue.

But it is thought he may be trying to put pressure on Chelsea for a new contract.

His current £125,000-a-week deal is due to run out in two years’ time.
