Bad conduct divorces rise
THE biggest reason for a divorce is now unreasonable behaviour, overtaking adultery, a study says.
It speeds up the process, and lets couples get on with their lives, said Oxford University researchers.
Unreasonable behaviour was given as the reason for divorce by 51% of wives in 2016, up from 17% in 1971.
Researcher John Haskey said: “The level of detail required has weakened, and is now nominal.”
