Chatroom dad who filmed his own hanging on web is named
A DAD who filmed his own hanging live on the web was yesterday named for the first time at his inquest.
Builder Leon Jenkins, 43, is believed to be the third Briton to die on the social media site Paltalk.
The dad of three was found by police after alleg- edly being goaded by trolls in its chatroom into the apparent suicide.
Pals say he received the message: “Why don’t you just do it?”
The inquest heard he was found in the bedsit where he lived in Roath, Cardiff, on July 26, after a website administrator alerted police. Coroner’s officer Michelle Morgan said: “A webcam was still operating in the room.”
The inquest in Pontypridd was adjourned to allow for a full investigation to be held.
