70% oppose bird shoots
SOME 70% of people think shooting birds for sport should be illegal, a poll for animal activists says.
And 80% oppose breeding pheasants and partridges in cages before their release into the countryside for shooting.
YouGov surveyed 2,060 adults for the League Against Cruel Sports and Animal Aid.
Isobel Hutchinson, of Animal Aid, said: “The vast majority abhor the cruelty inflicted on birds by the shooting industry.”
