POT SHOT AT SWANS
GRAHAM POTTER has blamed Swansea’s demise on bad signings and has vowed to stop the rot.
The Swans’ seven-year stay in the Premier League ended last season, which concluded a tumultuous period as Swansea went through six bosses in four years after axing Michael Laudrup in February 2014.
Potter (above) has been brought in from Swedish club Ostersunds on a three-year contract and has been given a brief to rebuild the Swans by restoring their philosophy of attractive, passing football. Potter, 43, told talkSPORT: “We are in the early stages of trying to put a club together supporters can be proud of. “The club had an identity but lost it and we need to rebuild again. The recruitment and the playing style haven’t necessarily been aligned over the last couple of years.”
