Poch woe in window
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has admitted he is unsure whether Spurs will sign any players this summer.
They are the only club in the top six not to bring any fresh faces in.
The Spurs boss – on the club’s pre-season US tour – said: “I don’t know if we are going to sign players or not.
“We’re working on it. The transfer window is so close, but the club’s doing everything to help the team and add some players.”
Pochettino fears the decision for the window to close ahead of the new season on August 9 – while still being open across Europe until the end of the month – could backfire on Premier League teams.
He added: “If you compare it with Europe, I think you are at a complete disadvantage and I’m sure it does not help the clubs in the Premier League.”
