£1 diet tablet ‘may tempt kids to buy’
POUNDLAND has been criticised by eating disorder groups for selling weight-loss pills.
They fear the £1 price for a pack of the appetite suppressants by diet brand Forza, intended for over18s, could tempt children to try them.
Eating disorder charity Beat called on the budget chain to take the cheap pills off its shelves.
It said: “We know that appetite suppressants are used by people with restrictive eating disorders like anorexia and feel it is harmful to widely distribute and promote such products.”
Poundland did not wish to comment.
