Bestival raids after revellers fled storm
WASHOUT Wet music fan at festival TENTS at Camp Bestival were raided after families fled due to storms.
Organisers of the child-friendly event had closed the site on Sunday amid torrential rain and winds but music fans found it looted next day.
One reveller told how he lost £800 of gear. And mum Amy Walker, who was at the festival with her young child, had items worth £500 stolen. She said: “I’m shocked and saddened. It’s my second year at Bestival and unfortunately after this I won’t be coming back next year.”
Festival goers had been told they could leave belongings overnight at the washed out site in Lulworth Castle grounds, Dorset.
A Bestival spokesman said: “We are investigating.”
