BBC throws our cash off a Cliff

-

I used to respect the BBC. There’s no doubt that colluding with the police to live broadcast a search of Cliff Richard’s home was a gross invasion of privacy.

The fact they then tried to submit it for scoop of the year was rightly condemned by the judge.

The BBC could have accepted the judgement and apologised. But after paying £800,000 of taxpayers’ money for Cliff’s legal fees they then unsuccessfully tried to appeal.

Now they still want to appeal further! If this was any other public body, heads would roll.

The BBC should stop wasting our money, admit they were wrong, and the Government should review its policy not to intervene.
