NEWELL PUT THROUGH MILL

-

Brentford Rotherham 3pm ROTHERHAM’S Joe Newell is desperate to taste the Championship again after cutting his beach break short to start pre-season training early. The winger (right) was back before his team-mates to build up his fitness ahead of going on tour in the Austrian hills.

Millers boss Paul Warne promised some tough sessions after Rotherham’s play-off final win over Shrewsbury in May.

“It doesn’t seem that long ago,” said Newell, who faces Brentford today, “I had four or five weeks off on my holidays, but as soon as the fixture list came out I was thinking about the big clubs we will be playing. “It just got me excited to get back in training.”
