Terror teenager jailed for life over plot with mum & sister

-

THE youngest woman to be convicted of plotting a terror attack in Britain yesterday got life in jail.

Safaa Boular, 18, planned a grenade and gun assault at the British Museum. She spoke in coded calls to her sister, Rizlaine Boular, saying she was preparing for a mad hatter’s “tea party”.

Safaa is the final member of Britain’s first all-woman terror cell to be put in prison.

Her mum Mina Dich, 44, and Rizlaine, 22, were jailed in June over a Houses of Parliament knife attack plot. The family’s plans were uncovered by MI5, and the Boulars’ home was bugged.

Safaa’s defence said that she was “groomed” online by her fiance, ISIS fighter Naweed Hussain, 32, from Coventry. She was detained while trying to join Hussain in Syria.

Jailing Safaa, Judge Mark Dennis QC said that her views were “deeply entrenched” and “she was old enough to make her own decisions”. He rejected claims she had changed her outlook, and downplayed the extent of her grooming.

“However much she may have been influenced and drawn into her extremism, it appeared she knew what she was doing.”

Safaa, Vauxhall, South London, was found guilty of two counts of preparing terrorist acts. She must serve a minimum of 13 years.
