Emmerdale’s Lucy cries at tot storyline
EMMERDALE star Lucy Pargeter has admitted her lines make her cry after having twins in real life.
Her character Chastity “Chas” Dingle’s unborn baby in the ITV soap has bilateral renal genesis and will not survive birth.
Chas and Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) will soon be seen deciding the child will be an organ donor.
Lucy said: “Reading the scripts has been hard, I’ve been crying a lot at home.
“But it’s been enjoyable to play their journey as a partnership and couple.”
Mother-of-three Lucy, 41, gave birth to twins Missy Mabel and Betsey Maggie in April 2017.
Asked how the storyline has affected her life at home, she said: “I hug the kids a bit tighter.”
