Cops sorry at King failings

POLICE have apologised over failings in the probe on DJ Jonathan King after his trial collapsed.

The 73-year-old had denied 23 sex assault charges on boys aged 14 to 16 between 1970 and 1988.

King will face no further action after June’s trial collapse and Surrey Police have admitted “serious organisational failings”.
