DRAMA
BBC1, 9pm
With a cracking cast, promising plot and penned by top television writer Debbie Horsfield, this drama was supposed to be our next addiction.
But last week’s opener left viewers disappointed by cliched storylines and over-the-top characters. Some thought it was a rehash of Horsfield’s noughties drama Cutting It.
But we’re reasonable people, so we’re giving this a second chance.
Last we saw, Teddy (Robson Green) declared with evil arched eyebrow: “Bel’s the woman I would have married if he hadn’t got there first.” He sounded like a Bond villain. Expect more plotting.
Meanwhile, Bel (Polly Walker) booked a taster session with personal trainer Lorelei, the woman she knows her husband has slept with. This is not likely to end well – and it doesn’t.
Beware an odd musical number at the beginning, but enjoy every eye roll from little Disney.
With a name like that, she was bound to get sarcasm. CULTURE CLASH Docs are put to the test
