I felt for the guy who wrote to you about his wife falling in love with another man, even though nothing physical had happened between them (Dear Coleen, Aug 1). This is far worse than an affair based on sex.

My ex-husband formed a close friendship with another woman while married to me. I kicked him out, hoping he’d come back, but it was clear his heart was with her and he didn’t feel that deeply about me any more.

They carried on seeing each other and are now married.

I hope your reader is prepared that his wife might have moved on emotionally for good.
