Mirror boy leads blood appeal

MAX Johnson is helping to save lives again, by urging people to give blood.

Mirror boy Max, 10, who inspired our campaign for opt-out organ donation, is starring in an NHS appeal for donors.

The brave lad, of Winsford, Cheshire, appears with mum Emma, 48, and says he depended on donated blood for his heart transplant.

Max, right, said: “It is very important for people to give blood to save lives like mine.”

Donations have dropped during the heatwave, with O negative urgently needed.
