Chapman is still sick

I was utterly shocked to read in Saturday’s Mirror that the wife of Mark Chapman, who killed our beloved John Lennon, is campaigning for his release. Chapman is mentally ill and she is a religious zealot who ought to know better.

I hope he doesn’t win his appeal. If it wasn’t for him, John would probably still be alive. Vivien Teague Colchester, Essex

With regard to Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s father Thomas, he really does need to keep his mouth shut. Has he never heard of discretion or boundaries? He is a 74-year-old man who needs to grow up. I do feel sorry for Meghan. D Lloyd-Hughes Warrington
