£25m Lerma is Cherrie special
BOURNEMOUTH last night completed a club-record £25million deal for Colombia World Cup star Jefferson Lerma – with keeper Asmir Begovic predicting a top-seven finish.
The 23-year-old midfielder (above) joins from Spanish side Levante on a five-year deal. Begovic reckons the Cherries can reach Europe. He said: “Why not? Look at Burnley, and what Leicester did a couple of years ago. I believe in the quality of our squad.
Lerma said: “I’m so happy to be at Bournemouth. I have always loved the style of the Premier League.”
