WINDOW SHUTS AT 5PM TODAY... WILL CLUB LAND ITS TRANSFER TARGETS?

- BY JAMES NURSEY

ADAMA TRAORE has vowed to help promoted Wolves make an impact in the top flight after his £18million club record move.

The winger, who joined from Championship side Middlesbrough yesterday, said: “I think Wolves is ready for the Premier League. They’re here because they’re ready.

“I think my message for the fans is, ‘Believe in this team’. We’ll work 100 per cent, everything is possible.”

The 22-year-old Spaniard added: “I think I’ll enjoy playing in this team. I’m young, I like to learn and I know if I add different things it’s good for me.

“How Wolves play definitely suits me. I’ve watched their games and before I make any decision I already know how they play, how they move, how the wingers play.”

Traore agreed a five-year deal and became the club’s fifth summer buy after Rui Patricio, Jonny Castro Otto, Joao Moutinho and Raul Jimenez.

He was voted Boro’s player of the year as they reached the Championship play-offs.

The former Barcelona youngster, capped twice by Spain Under-21s, has played in the Premier League before – he was at Aston Villa in the 2015–2016 season when relegated.

Wolves are still trying to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko.

They have agreed a £16m fee with Manchester City for the Ukrainian, who can play left wing-back or midfield.

But Zinchenko is reluctant to move despite having been left out of the squad for the Community Shield win over Chelsea on Sunday.

Wolves are also closing in on a £12m deal for Leander Dendoncker of Anderlecht.
