EDDIE HOWE reckons he has put together his best ever Bournemouth squad. The Cherries manager splashed out almost £50million on new signings, including Colombia star Jefferson Lerma from Levante, for a club-record £25m. Howe’s new-look side kick off their season at home to Cardiff today and he said: “I think we’ve improved the squad, I’m very happy with our signings. All 20 fit players we have at the moment are established and good enough to play in the Premier League. “When Junior Stanislas and Kyle Taylor are fit, I think this is possibly the best squad I’ve ever had.” World Cup star Lerma must wait to make his Premier League bow and Howe added: “He’s come to us off the back of not training after the World Cup, so that will be an issue. “We’ve got to build up his fitness.”
