KOSCIELNY TO KEEP THE ARMBAND

- BY DARREN LEWIS

UNAI EMERY is set to keep Laurent Koscielny as his captain.

The France defender (right) remains on the long-term injury list after the ankle injury he picked up in May but will stay club captain with Petr Cech set to skipper the side tomorrow. Boss Emery named the pair as two of five captains for the new season.

He said: “The first captain in this group is Koscielny. Then I told the players it will be Cech, Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka.

“I want leaders in the team and maybe there are more.”
