Israel’s PM blasts Corbyn over wreath
ISRAELI Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last night slammed Jeremy Corbyn over claims he laid a wreath at graves of Palestinians suspected of being behind the Munich Olympics Massacre.
Mr Netanyahu wrote on Twitter: “The laying of a wreath by Jeremy Corbyn on the graves...and his comparison of Israel to the Nazis deserves unequivocal condemnation from everyone.”
A spokesman for the Labour leader denied he laid a wreath but admitted he visited the Palestine National Cemetery in Tunisia to support Palestinian rights and honour victims of a 1985 Israeli air strike.
Mr Corbyn faced criticism after pictures emerged appearing to show him with a wreath near the graves of senior members of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation.
They were accused of founding Black September – the terror group who masterminded the 1972 Munich attack.
