Church raider given 2 years

A VAGRANT who caused thousands of pounds of damage to 17 churches has been jailed for two years.

Mihaita Rosca, 36, smashed stained glass windows to break into the buildings, which he ransacked for money or PCs.

But he left fingerprints or DNA at the churches in Dorset, Devon and Suffolk, Exeter crown court heard.

Romanian Rosca admitted burglary.

Recorder Mr James Freeman said the damage was “disproportionate”.
