Autism-fears vaccine ‘safe’
A JAB for pregnant women to protect their unborn children, feared to be linked to autism, has had the all-clear in a study.
Concerns over Tdap, used against tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough, had led to infants going unvaccinated.
Dr Tracy BecerraCulqui, of California health firm Kaiser Permanente, found “no indication of an increased autism risk”.
In her study, the rate in children whose mums had the jab was 1.5% but 1.8% when they did not.
