KEEPERS FACE CRUNCH

GARETH SOUTHGATE has a major goalkeeper dilemma. Jordan Pickford will remain as England’s No.1 as they face Spain at Wembley in the UEFA Nations League and a friendly with Switzerland next month. Southgate took Nick Pope and Jack Butland to Russia as his back-ups. But Burnley keeper Pope (below) is out after a shoulder op and Butland fears he could lose his place after Stoke’s relegation.

Angus Gunn did not start Southampton’s first game as Alex McCarthy got the nod. Tom Heaton has also been a contender but Burnley kicked off with Joe Hart in goal.
