SPURS WILL HOME IN ON WEMBLEY

- BY DARREN LEWIS

TOTTENHAM must move back to Wembley next month following delays at their new stadium.

And Spurs may not play in the £800million White Hart Lane ground until NOVEMBER at the earliest. No venue has been confirmed for the glamour fixture against Manchester City on October 28.

The club were initially due to inherit the 62,000-seater arena earlier this month. Now chairman Daniel Levy (left) has activated an option with the FA to use Wembley until the new year – although Spurs are confident the new stadium will be in use well before then.

A club statement read: “Our upcoming Premier League matches against Liverpool (15 September) and Cardiff City (6 October) will be switched to Wembley.”
