SPURS WILL STILL SELL ROSE FOR £50M
TOTTENHAM are willing to sell Danny Rose before the end of August – even though they cannot sign a replacement.
Paris Saint-Germain have joined Schalke in the chase for the £50million- rated England left-back (above), widely regarded as the best in the country.
Rose was left out of the squad for last Saturday’s winning trip to Newcastle despite being fit. Although the 28-year-old was given
extra time back at the club’s HQ to get into shape ahead of the new season, it is understood he is no longer in Mauricio Pochettino’s long-term plans.
Ben Davies is now the first choice Spurs left-back. Should the north Londoners succeed in finding a buyer for Rose, Pochettino could also field either Jan Vertonghen or rising star Kyle Walker-Peters in his position.
Rose revealed last week to Mirror Sport that he is frustrated at being denied game time at Tottenham.
