Beyonce’s Respect for Aretha
BEYONCE dedicates her show to Aretha Franklin, who is “gravely ill” with cancer, as she performs in the Queen of Soul’s home town of Detroit. The Halo singer, 36, on stage with husband Jay-Z, said: “This show is dedicated to Aretha. We love you and thank you.” Hospice carers have been brought in to the home of Respect star Aretha, 76, as family were told “death is imminent”. Yesterday fellow legend Stevie Wonder, 68, paid her a visit to say his final farewells. A source said: “Stevie was determined to speak to Aretha one last time.” Aretha has battled cancer for years and her weight has fallen to six stone.
