CONOR HOURIHANE finally broke Yeovil’s resistance as Aston Villa scraped into round two of the Carabao Cup.

The League Two side should have been ahead on the hour but Alex Fisher’s penalty was saved by Andre Moreira.

And with 13 minutes to go Hourihane (above) grabbed the winner.

Norwich left it late to see off Stevenage, Christoph Zimmermann tapping home from a corner seven minutes from time. Marco Stieperman­n’s header had given Norwich the lead before Jimmy Ball levelled before half-time.

Adam Armstrong and Bradley Dack both scored twice as Blackburn ran out 5-1 winners at Carlisle.

Derby needed a Sam Graham own goal at Oldham to get them going. Mason Mount completed a 2-0 win.

Sam Finley gave Accrington an early lead, but a Tyler Walker firsthalf hat-trick helped Mansfield to a 6-1 win.

Ipswich fans had a miserable five-hour drive home, losing 4-2 on penalties at League Two Exeter after a 1-1 draw.
