Morgue gets ‘fat fridges’
A HOSPITAL has fitted four super-sized fridges in its morgue to cope with a rise in extra-large corpses.
They are among £242,000 of items bought since 2014 for obese patients at Glan Clwyd Hospital in Denbighshire.
A spokesman said its health board recognised “that many people across Wales struggle to maintain a healthy weight”.
Health chiefs warned in March that obese patients were getting too big for hospital MRI machines.
