Fashion firm Fat Face bucked the highstreet gloom by posting a near 5% rise in sales for the year to June. Bosses hailed investment in its online arm and avoiding big price cuts as profits increased by 5.6% to £30million.

The firm also worked with others on ranges, including Graduate Fashion Week, Liberty and the Natural History Museum.
