Uni bonanza for students

THOUSANDS of degree courses were up for grabs in a “buyers’ market” for students a day after A-level results were published.

There were 25,444 undergraduate courses on the UCAS clearing website for students in England yesterday, compared to 26,350 on Wednesday.

At least one course was listed by 134 out 148 institutions surveyed.

So far this year 15,160 students have found places through clearing, up around 2.4% on 2017.
