Botched hair bleach costs salon £12.5k
A WOMAN who suffered agonising hair loss and scalp burns after a botched bleaching treatment has received £12,500 damages.
Rachel Ludlow, 34, claimed it took two years for her hair to recover.
The former receptionist accused Identity Hair and Beauty in Northampton of leaving in bleach for 45 minutes instead of 25.
Stylist Ellisha Giles said she used a timer and kept checking the client. But Ms Ludlow, of Northampton, said an expert was “shocked” at her bald patches.
She also told Leicester county court that she had mental health issues after her 2015 ordeal.
Judge Alison Hampton, finding against the salon in the breach of contract and negligence action, said: “It was misjudgment.”
