KOHLI: TAKE PRIDE AND SAVE OUR TOUR

-

VIRAT KOHLI has called on his players to produce a “backs-tothe-wall” show to save their tour.

And after recovering from a sore back, cricket’s “tinkerman” will again refuse to walk out with the same 11 from one game to the next. For the 45th match in a row India makes at least one change, and Kohli hopes pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah and stumper Rishabh Pant’s debut will work.

“When your back is against the wall, you can’t afford to think of anything else but what the team requires at that particular moment from you. It’s actually a good situation to be in. The only conversation we’ve had is that the only option is to win this game.

“You need to show that in your body language, in your intent and the way you go about things.

“It’s all about feeling positive first and it is up to the individuals to stand up and say I’m going to go out and make a difference.”
